The City of Lichfield Concert Band plays a programme of popular music to warm up the crowd as they find their spots from 6pm. This leads up to the main concert at 7.30pm, which features a symphony orchestra and classically trained singers performing a varied musical programme. The evening culminates with proms anthems and a firework finale.. Although admissions is free, prime seating in front of the stage is available to book, with tables of four costing £70 and tables of six for £105. Cllr Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s deputy leader, said: “Booking prime seats for this year’s Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park will secure you the best in the house.
